Such a helpful book. I've known about the benefits of coconut oil for people for many years, but never thought to give it to my dog. It only makes sense to share it.
The author covers the uses, topical and internal, a little background science and the lots of benefits. Wish I'd thought of this myself. A great read.
We just got a rescue pup and I was looking for advice on homeopathic treatment for various ails, like fleas, as well as nutrition information. This short guide offers both. Lots of benefits of coconut oil are given, as well as suggested dosages and methods of application. The only real addition I'd have liked was suggested brands of coconut oil. While the author clearly differentiates between good coconut oil and not great (even down to a discussion of manufacturing methods ), she just says to get a brand you trust. If you aren't familiar enough with coconut oil to know there's a difference in quality, you probably have no clue what to trust. Still, this is worth grabbing!
I had read this book and I have starting brushing her teeth with coconut oil. She looks forward to it. She loves it. Before she would not let me even touch her mouth. I started making her food and she gets a 1/2 Teaspoon oh Coconut oil in that. She is a small dog, very fussy eater. Not any more. Very good Book and I will keep it close by for reference.

Excellent information for dogs--and yes, humans too!. Every dog owner should have this. My Scottish Terrier dogs have loved Coconut but the book helped so much more with the information he covers on coconut and how healthy it is for your furry friends.
